Our Volunteer Program
Giving back isn’t just something we support — it’s something we prioritize. Through our employee volunteer program, we’re creating space for our team members to make a real difference in the local community while reinforcing what makes our company culture so strong.
Whether it’s mentoring youth, supporting nonprofit organizations, helping with a city park cleanup, or offering IT expertise to a local cause, our team is empowered to take action. We believe that volunteering in Upstate NY shouldn’t be something squeezed in after hours. It should be part of the job. That’s the heart of our corporate volunteer program at IT Insights.
Giving back where it matters most. Our team spent the day cooking and lending a hand at the Westmoreland House, helping support families traveling to Rochester for critical medical care.
A Structured Commitment to Giving Back
Our program is built around the idea that time is one of the most powerful resources we can give. Every employee receives two full paid days (16 hours) of volunteer time off (VTO) each year, making it easy to participate in causes that matter most to them.
Here’s how our volunteer time off program works:
This structure gives every employee the opportunity to engage in community service meaningfully, without having to sacrifice time, pay, or energy.
Making Meaningful Contributions Possible
We know that real social impact takes more than just a few hours of goodwill. That’s why our program is designed to support volunteer work that’s deep, hands-on, and often tied to larger community projects.
Our team members have used their paid volunteer time off to:
Help run multi-day volunteer events like school STEM fairs and community tech workshops
Serve on boards or leadership committees for local nonprofit organizations
Offer ongoing technical support to grassroots initiatives
Contribute to projects that require consistency and commitment, not just drop-in help
This approach allows volunteers to build relationships, gain a stronger sense of purpose, and make a long-term impact in the Rochester area.
Looking Ahead: Evolving and Expanding the Program
Just like our tech solutions, our employee volunteer program is always evolving. We’re working to make it even more seamless and rewarding through:
With the active involvement of our leadership team, including Chris Sirianni and Tony Mangiola, we’re continually refining how we support both our people and our community. Their personal commitment to corporate social responsibility in Rochester drives this initiative forward.
Why It Matters
A strong employee volunteer program doesn’t just benefit the community — it benefits everyone. It encourages employees to get involved, brings corporate volunteering into everyday work life, and gives people a platform to use their skills for good. By embedding volunteer work into our culture, not adding it on as an afterthought, we’re showing that giving back is core to who we are. This program builds deeper relationships, supports community service in Rochester, and helps us all contribute to something bigger.
